What the sources actually confirm
Six facts about how Azeroth Survivors plays, each stated in the announcement or the open-source repository. Anything beyond these is marked unconfirmed on the relevant page.
Auto-cast swarm combat
WASD to move; your abilities cast themselves while enemies swarm in waves, and a boss shows up every couple of minutes. Positioning is the skill.
Level-up cards with real numbers
On each level, cards deal in and you pick one. WoW item-quality colours signal strength, and every card prints its exact changes — Damage 20 » 26, Targets 2 » 3.
Two progression layers
Permanent items dropped by bosses, plus talent XP earned each run to advance your class — the meta-progression the announcement confirms.
Nine WoW classes
Mage to Warlock, each with a signature movement spell on F from level 5: Blink, Charge, Sprint, Dash, Fade, Ghost Wolf and more.
Sixteen zones to survive
The open-source build documents sixteen battlegrounds, from the starting zones to Naxxramas and the Gates of Ahn’Qiraj, each with its own creatures and bosses.
Free, offline-capable, fan-made
Free to play in the browser, and an open-source local build (Rust + Bevy) runs fully offline — no server, no login, no account.
Every page on this site
Four content pages covering the tier list, builds, downloads and the name confusion — plus the official play link. Every claim carries the source it came from.

Where these facts come from
Every entry below is labelled by what it is: the game site, a source-code repository, a community thread, a fan wiki, an addon listing, or a video. Where a page needs a fact no source publishes, it says so instead of guessing.
- Community thread r/wowservers — Azeroth Survivors announcement (u/nobus_) — The original announcement: a Megabonk/Vampire-Survivors-style clone in a WoW 1.12.1 client, free, singleplayer, playable in the browser, with permanent boss items and talent XP. Notes the game is in alpha.
- Game site wow.aethus.pl — play Azeroth Survivors in the browser — The official browser build linked from the announcement. No sign-up; works best on Chrome per the announcer.
- Source code OutThisLife/azeroth-survivors-re on GitHub — The open-source local build. Documents the pick screen, level-up cards, movement spells, controls, and the legal note that the game is a free fan work not affiliated with Blizzard.
- Community hub Azeroth Survivors community Discord — The community server linked from the announcement; changelogs and the latest downloadable version are posted there.
- Community thread r/wowservers — open-source build discussion — Community reaction thread for the open-source release, including players reporting multi-hour sessions. Used for reception colour only.
- Fan wiki azerothsurvivors.wiki — third-party fan wiki — An independent fan wiki. Corroborates nine classes, two progression layers and alpha status; its rankings are community opinion, not settled consensus.
