Azeroth Survivors (this game)

The announcement describes it in one line: a Megabonk/Vampire-Survivors-style clone built in a WoW 1.12.1 client, singleplayer, free, playable in the browser without downloading. It is made by Aethus, and its own legal note says it is a fan game not affiliated with or endorsed by Blizzard Entertainment. If the page you landed on links to wow.aethus.pl, you found the right game.

WoW Survivors (also an addon)

WoW Survivors is the exact title of a World of Warcraft addon on CurseForge, by muncheshadow: a survivors-style minigame you play inside retail WoW — pick a class, map and difficulty, level up, collect loot. Same genre, same two words, completely different project. Check the URL: CurseForge means the addon; wow.aethus.pl means the standalone fan game.

Azeroth Forever / WoW Forever (official Blizzard, different game)

Searches for "azeroth forever" surface World of Warcraft: Forever, an official Blizzard production — cinematic and gameplay trailers, a November 4, 2026 launch, a beta from September 17, 2026. It is a full official release, not a fan project, and it is not a survivors-like. Tier lists you find for "WoW Forever classes" (Mage and Paladin in S-tier, and so on) describe that game and have no bearing on Azeroth Survivors.

The one-line check

Free, browser-based, fan-made, survivors-like → Azeroth Survivors. Paid Blizzard launch in November 2026 → WoW: Forever. A CurseForge download → the WoW Survivors addon.

Why the confusion happens

The fan game blew up on r/wowservers within days, faster than any official naming or store presence could form around it. Players described it in their own words — "WoW survivors", "Warcraft survivors", "that azeroth survivor game" — and search engines now blend those queries with the addon and the Blizzard title. This page exists so the blend has an off-ramp.

Where these facts come from

Every entry below is labelled by what it is: the game site, a source-code repository, a community thread, a fan wiki, an addon listing, or a video. Where a page needs a fact no source publishes, it says so instead of guessing.

Straight answers

Quick answers

Is WoW Survivors the same game as Azeroth Survivors?

Usually, yes — players use "WoW Survivors" and "Warcraft Survivors" as shorthand for Azeroth Survivors, the fan-made browser game. But "WoW Survivors" is also the exact name of a CurseForge addon that runs a survivors minigame inside World of Warcraft. If your link points at CurseForge, that is the addon, not the standalone game.

Is Azeroth Forever the same as Azeroth Survivors?

No. "Azeroth Forever" searches lead to World of Warcraft: Forever, an official Blizzard project with a November 4, 2026 launch date in its trailers. It has nothing to do with the fan-made Azeroth Survivors.

Is Azeroth Survivors made by Blizzard?

No. It is a free fan-made game by Aethus. The source repository states it plainly: not affiliated with, or endorsed by, Blizzard Entertainment. This wiki repeats that disclaimer on every page.

What about "Azeroth Survivor" (singular)?

Just a common mis-typing of Azeroth Survivors — same fan game. No separate project uses the singular name in any source we found.
