The class roster
Azeroth Survivors uses the nine original World of Warcraft classes. The pick screen — rebuilt in the open-source local build from the client's own glue art — offers eight races, both genders, and every class each race can be, across sixteen zones. What each class can do in a run starts from the same place: abilities cast themselves, and from level 5 each class gains a signature movement spell on F, aimed at the cursor.

The movement spells above are the only per-class facts stated verbatim in the source repository. Beyond them, no source publishes ability lists, damage numbers or scaling per class — so this page does not either.
Why there is no real tier list yet
Three reasons, each from the sources:
- The game is in alpha. The original announcement says plainly: "Game is in alpha state so don't expect too much from balance." Rankings made on alpha balance expire with every patch.
- Nobody publishes data. No source — not the announcement, not the repository, not the fan wikis — publishes clear times, survival rates or damage meters per class. A tier list without data is decoration.
- The meta is hours old, not seasons old. The game surfaced on r/wowservers days before this page was written. Survivors-likes need weeks of community runs before class gaps become measurable.
When a defensible community consensus forms, this page will rank classes and cite where the consensus comes from. Until then, "community consensus pending" is the honest entry.
What we can say honestly
- Mobility differs by design. Nine different movement spells means nine different ways to dodge the swarm. Blink teleports, Charge closes distance, Ghost Wolf and Aspect of the Cheetah sustain speed — how much that matters in runs is unconfirmed, but it is the clearest mechanical difference the sources document between classes.
- Your build matters more than your class. Between level-up cards during the run and permanent items plus talent XP across runs, the progression systems are where runs are won. See the builds page for what the sources confirm.
- Beware lookalike lists. The most visible "WoW tier list" ranking Mage and Paladin S-tier covers WoW: Forever, an official Blizzard game — not Azeroth Survivors. Different game, different numbers, no bearing here.
Still unranked
- Per-class ability kits beyond the movement spell — unconfirmed in every source.
- Per-class difficulty or beginner recommendations — community consensus pending.
- Whether race choice affects run power — unconfirmed.
